Cloud Computing Concepts Certification Acheived!
Today, I completed my training by achieving a certification in Customer Resource Management (CRM) Concepts at Brainbench.com . This is one of several training subjects I am currently working on.
InDesign CS5.5 Certification Achieved!
It had been a while Since I achieved InDesign Certification. In fact, my earlier certification had in fact elapsed. Luckily, my understanding of InDesign was extensive enough that I was able to set aside time to take this examination with little or no problems. Thanks BrainBench!
Web Design Concepts Certification Achieved!
Apparently, I was in danger of having my certification lapse (Brainbench certification is only good for 3 years). Taking some time here at the end of the semester, I revisited my notes and aced this certification. I was pleased to see that HTML5 and CSS3 questions were now part of this exam. Way to update!
Software Quality Assurance Certification Achieved!
After achieving a certification last month in Software Business Analysis with BrainBench, I felt I might be able to achieve this certification. Boning up on the materials I used last month to prepare, I was able to run through this examination with an excellent time/score rating.
Software Business Analysis Certification Achieved!
Having come from a background in project management, building whitepapers and presentations for Business Analysis and Software Development Life Cycle collateral through ASPE, and working in the field has really prepped me pretty well for this designation. With only a few days of mior enrichment and study, I was able to achieve this certification with only 30 minutes of the 40 minutes allowed through BrainBench testing.
Business Communication Certification Achieved!
Business Communication certification is one of three certifications I a working on at this time… and it will be the last time I do this again- its just too much work to study for so many and still pass! Business Communications is a bit of a no-brainer. Just doing the right, professional thing without acting like a jerk, breaking a contract, or breaking the law is all it really takes. Testing 3 examinations in one day… whew! BrainBench, what was I thinking?
Adobe Photoshop CS5 Certification Acheived!
Adobe Photoshop CS5 certification is one of three certifications I a working on at this time… and it will be the last time I do this again- its just too much work to study for so many and still pass! I have been using photoshop since version 3.0, and I must say the improvments are really fantastic. I think this panoramic tool will really catch on! Testing 3 examinations in one day… whew! BrainBench, what was I thinking?
CSS3 Certification Acheived!
CSS3 certification is one of three certifications I a working on at this time… and it will be the last time I do this again- its just too much work to study for so many and still pass! I have been using CSS in my web design since the year 2000, and I must say that I see some great potential for typography on the web with this newer version. Shadows, rounded corners, I think this stuff is gonna be great! So now, when will IE step up to the plate and allow it to REALLY WORK?? Testing 3 examinations in one day… whew! BrainBench, what was I thinking?
HTML5 Certification Achieved!
I learned HTML initially in East Carolina University (ECU) and University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), emerging in 1994 with a minor smattering of understanding. In 2000, I took classes at the University of Georgia (UGA) to get HTML and CSS firmly under my belt. HTML5 is a new and emerging standard for web designer. Since I teach a little of this, my HTML5 learning has all been self-taught. Getting this certification is a reflection of study and understanding of the newest upgrade to HTML. So, I determined to get my certifications with BrainBench

Internet Security Specialist Certification Achieved!
Today, my oldest daughter let me know that today was Pi Day, and that her school would be celebrating Pi Day by allowing students to sample several different types of Pies in the Gym. I don’t get to have pie. That’s a real downer.
Its partly a downer because while I’m sitting in a lab taking an examination based on my knowledge of internet security, my daughters are both chowing down on pie. I defy you to tell me that that is fair.
Anyhow, I’ve been studying up on internet security over the last month or so with an eye toward getting this certification. It was a wonderful vaidation that my knowledge of internet security methods and actions rises above simple concepts exploration, and into certification from brainbench with the notation of internet security specialist.
